You can build a custom sound pack in Drum Pads 24 using several different sound sources.
Available sound sources
You can use:
- sounds from downloaded Drum Pads 24 sound packs
- your Drum Pads 24 recordings
- sounds from other local sound packs in My, including sound packs you created yourself
- sound packs downloaded from the Feed
- audio files imported from your device or supported cloud storage
Imported audio files
You can import audio files from your device or from supported storage locations such as cloud services available through your device’s file system.
On Apple devices, this may include files available through the Files app, such as iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or Google Drive, if they are connected on your device.
Please note:
- not all apps support sharing audio directly to Drum Pads 24
- available import and sharing options depend on your device and the app you are using 7
About Feed sound packs
Sound packs downloaded from the Feed become available locally in the app and can be used while editing your project or custom sound pack.
About microphone recording
Microphone recording in the Project Editor may be available depending on your Drum Pads 24 app version.
If microphone recording is available in your version, you can use it to record new sounds directly in the editor.
If microphone recording is not available in your version, you can still create your own audio in another app and import it into Drum Pads 24. For example, you can use our Audio Editor app to make a microphone recording there and then share that audio to Drum Pads 24.
Supported audio files
Project Editor supports these audio file formats:
.mp3.wav
For .wav files on Android, the file should use:
- 44.1 kHz
- 16-bit
- stereo
Length limits
Due to technical limitations:
- Android devices support audio files up to 5 seconds
- Apple devices, Free tier: up to 30 seconds
- Apple devices, Premium: up to 5 minutes
Other file formats may not be supported. If you add an unsupported file, it may not play correctly.
Rights and content rules
You should only use sounds in your custom sound pack if:
- you created them yourself
- or you have the proper rights or license to use them
Do not include:
- third-party content that you do not have permission to use
- redistributed content from the Drum Pads 24 App Library
- copied sound packs or sounds taken from other users without the right to share them
This is especially important if you plan to share your sound pack with other users.
Important note
Local sound packs and other content in My are stored on your device. They do not automatically transfer to another device or reappear after reinstalling the app unless you backed them up or shared them.
