Sound packs don’t play after moving to a new iPhone or iPad
If you set up a new iPhone or iPad from a backup of your previous device and Drum Pads 24 opens but some sound packs do not play, the transferred sound pack files may not work correctly on the new device.
In this case, re-downloading the affected sound pack usually helps.
Option 1: Delete and re-download the sound pack from its page
- Open the Sounds tab.
- Open the sound pack that does not play correctly.
- Tap the ... menu in the upper-right corner.
- If available, tap Delete to remove the downloaded sound pack files.
- Tap Get to download the sound pack again.
If you do not see the Delete option, the sound pack may not currently be downloaded.
Option 2: Manage downloaded content in Storage
You can also manage downloaded content from the app’s storage settings.
- Open Drum Pads 24.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Storage.
- Review your downloaded content, including library sound packs.
- Delete the affected sound pack if needed.
- Download it again from the app.
Why this helps
After moving data from an old device, some downloaded sound pack files may not work correctly on the new device. Downloading the sound pack again replaces those files with a fresh copy.
Important note
This issue affects downloaded library sound pack files. If you are looking for your own local custom sound packs, or recordings, those may behave differently because local content is stored separately on the device.
