Some apps offer a free trial before a paid subscription begins.

Important things to know

  • a free trial automatically turns into a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends
  • deleting the app does not cancel the trial
  • if you cancel during the trial, you usually keep access until the trial period ends
  • once the trial renews into a paid subscription, future billing continues until the subscription is canceled
